Crafting Magical Stories

Once again, I stand for the AIESEC in Canada’s Member Committee Position. Thinking about the past few years gives me chills, as so much has happened worldwide. We saw Covid, Wars, Floods, Biodiversity Loss, Fires, and whatnot.

As concerning this, we all have somehow lived through it. It would have been easy for some and extremely difficult for others, but here we are in the brand new year of 2023. This year is full of hope, a hope to do something much bigger than myself. So here I am, writing this application for something much bigger than myself.

This year’s theme and my ambition for AIESEC in Canada and the Membership Team revolves around the abovementioned dialogue. This year I want people to focus on “Crafting Magical Stories” for themselves and for everyone else around them. This year is your call to adventure, to get out of your comfort zone and pursue something more.

There are three essential parts to the theme:

  1. Crafting: The idea is to create, deliberately to put yourself outside your comfort zone and strive towards experiencing something new and unique
  2. Magical: I am a huge Potter head, but in this context, Magical refers to the unforgettable and life-changing aspect of the experience you are going through
  3. Stories: Our lives are made up of stories; I wish you to experience life as different stories which teach you not only valuable lessons but create some unforgettable moments for you

In case you’re curious about my application, it is attached below. Read it to your heart’s content.

I am all set to leave my comfort zone; the question you have to ask yourself is, “are you?”
